-put the screwdriver into the only opening in the plastic holder ( which on rear tag light is on both of them located medially- towards the center not away from the center ).
-gently pull the screwdriver laterally ( away from the center )
and the whole thing will come out
-with your fingers gently turn the cap and pull out the light
- detach the bulb and place the new one
this is for corolla 2000, don't know did they change the rules with the new one.
