Open the tailgate. Just outside the rubber seal are two black plastic tabs that are part of the taillight assembly. Open them and remove the two black screws. The lens assembly will be loose but the front will still not release from the vehicle. It is held into place by guide pins that have an expansion point. Pull the lens straight back firmly without twisting to the side. The main pin will pop loose allowing access to the bulb sockets. Try not to put bare hands on new bulb. Same procedure for turn signal lamp.
