buy a new distributor cap and rotor. Unscrew the distributor cap (on the drivers side of the engine block), take note how the existing rotor is sitting, remove it, and place the new rotor in the same position. Put on the distributor cap and screw it into place... very simple job. thats how you change the rotor......he asked about the distributor....try again.

To change the fuel pump on a 1996 Nissan 240SX, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal and relieve fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls. Next, access the fuel pump by removing the rear seats and the access panel on the fuel tank. Disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors, then remove the old pump from the tank and replace it with the new one, reassembling everything in reverse order. Finally, reconnect the battery, check for leaks, and test the system.
