that problem with the headlights ic very common on kias a hyundais in the 2000s it is a wiring problem that has to be corrected, change the bulb every six weeek is not the answer they are like 12 bucks a piece My '03 Optima headlights go out about every 6-8 weeks. Changing the bulbs is actually fairly simple.
1. Pop the hood. Behind the headlight, there is a large round knob/cover. Turn this about 1/4 turn counter-clockwise.
2. Gently pull out the cable that is attached to the back of the light bulb.
3. There is a VERY obnoxious metal clipping device that holds the bulb in place. This device is removed by pushing the arm of it straight in (towards the front of your car) and down. This should unhook the clip. It often takes me several minutes and sore fingers to actually get it unhooked.
4. Pull the bulb out.
5. Put the new bulb in. There is a place on the metal frame of the bulb that sticks out, you must line this up with the corresponding space for it on the headlight structure.
6. Reattach the clip - Push it down and towards the front of your car.
7. Reattach cable and knob/cover
VERY IMPORTANT! DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS PORTION OF THE LIGHT BULB! The oil on your fingers gets on the bulb, heats up when the lights are on, and causes the bulb to warp/explode/burn out.
Hope this helps :)

To reattach the clip on the headlight bulb of a 2004 Kia Optima, first ensure the bulb is properly seated in its socket. Align the clip with the designated slots on the bulb base and press it down until it clicks into place, securing the bulb. Make sure the clip is firmly attached and that the bulb is stable before closing the headlight assembly. Always handle the bulb by its base to avoid transferring oil from your fingers, which can cause it to burn out prematurely.
