The easiest way to disarm your antitheft system on your 1988 Nissan Maxima is to remove the fuse. The antitheft system fuse location can be found on the inside cover of the fuse box.

The control box is located in the trunk area, were the rear speaker are located. Just left of center is the control box for the security system. Remove the multi-wire plug, this should disarm the alarm system. You don't have to remove the anti-theft relays under the hood, you only need to disconnect the anti-theft unit in the back as instructed above. This solution also works for a 1988 Nissan Maxima.
