Get the truck elevated so the six screws can be removed from the splash pan. Best to have an offset filter wrench or plires to reach up from the engine right side to remove the filter.Be prepared to get a flow of hot oil if the engine has not been off for a period of time. Engine drain plug is a standard pan location.Replace splash pan and screws and oil pan plug.
Another approach is to remove the right front tire, then the right fender rubber apron, and you can see the oil filter as well as the oil pan drain plug. I prefer an oil filter socket which I can turn using a 3/8 or 1/2 socket wrench w/ extension bar but any filter wrench with a flexing handle will do.
I am able to change the oil by simply sliding under the truck , remove the oil filter with the bash guard still in placeand drain the pan with the plug. replace the plug securely, install new filter(don't forget to lightly oil the gasket)hand tight. wipe the oil that got on the bash guard and any other parts and refill with oil. run for 5 minutes and check for leaks. if you cleaned up well they will be easy to spot.
