This involves replacing the hood release cable. You can buy them new from the dealer. Not an easy task however, and I do recomed a professional to do it. Its a hard job.

Replace it with a new or used one.
The hood release cable is held in place by a retaining nut on each end of the cable. Remove the retaining nuts and the cable placement retainers. Reverse the process to install the new hood release cable.

Uh...I inserted my key in hood release mechanism to hold it open (like you would pull it with your hand) and then went up to the front of the car and pulled the hood free and then released it...That worked for me, hope it helps you too.
