The solenoid gave out on my car as well. From the trunk pull off the liner closest to the gas door. You should be able to reach blindly and feel the lever the solenoid moves. You will know because by pulling the lever towards the rear the gas door will pop open. Now what you have to do is attach a cord to that lever and pull on it to pop the gas door, Works every time !!
