To remove the LED radio display from a 2005 Mazda 6, first, disconnect the car battery to ensure safety. Then, use a trim removal tool to carefully pry off the trim surrounding the radio and climate controls. After removing the trim, unscrew the mounting screws holding the radio in place, and gently pull the radio unit out, disconnecting the wiring harness at the back. Be cautious not to damage any clips or wiring during the process.
To fix a dim LCD display in a 2004 Mazda 6, first check the brightness settings in the vehicle's menu; adjust them if necessary. If that doesn’t help, inspect the fuses related to the display, as a blown fuse could cause dimming. If the issue persists, consider replacing the display unit or the backlight, which may require disassembly of the dashboard. If you're not comfortable with this process, consulting a professional mechanic is advisable.

I experienced the same problem when I first purchased my 2005 Mazda 6. At times it would be fully readable and at others, parts of the clock would not light up. I took it to the dealer expecting a huge fix but found that to not be the case. They ended up removing that display and sending it out to the manufacturing company who fixed it for about $90. It turned out to just be something funny with the wiring. Hope this helps.
