you might need a machine but what i do is disconnect a big hose from the raddiator thendrain into a pan refill and burp all the air out
there isnt one after 1996
At least every 50,000 mi. I would flush it at the same time.
Coolant is flushed from the radiator of a 1997 Honda Accord by opening the petcock and allowing the system to drain. The petcock is then closed, the system filled with water, and a flush added to the radiator to cleanse the system.
Do you mean flush the oil (not recommended) or flush the coolant?
That means you have to perform your regular maintenece, could mean its time for an oil change, trans flush, coolant flush, tuneup, brake flush. Anyone of those or all of them
To flush the coolant on a Honda Odyssey, start by ensuring the engine is cool, then remove the radiator cap. Place a drain pan under the radiator and open the drain valve to let the old coolant flow out. After draining, close the valve, fill the radiator with a mixture of water and coolant flush solution, run the engine until it reaches operating temperature, and then drain again. Finally, refill the system with the appropriate coolant mixture and bleed any air from the system as needed.
Complete cooling system service. Drain, flush, new thermostat, clean exterior of radiator, install 50/50 mix of coolant, bleed air from system, check operation of water pump and cooling fan.
It may mean a scheduled maintenance is required, which at the minimum is an oil change. However, it can also mean more intensive maintenance is required, such as coolant flush/replace, transmission flush/replace, brake flush/replace, a tuneup (replace hoses, spark plugs, etc.).
You don't have to but it is a good opportunity to flush the system.
You don't fix it you replace it. Drain the radiator, replace the hose, and the thermostat, flush the system, install a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and water, bleed the system.
Airpocket(s) in the cooling system. Did you flush your radiator recently? If you didn't then it might be cracked, and letting air in, or the fluid might be low.
Ive never heard of draining coolant plugs except on a diesel engine . Once you drain the coolant and flush the system it should be fine
