I had the same problem. There is a small part in the rear axel that needs to be replaced/reset. It is a sensor. I was told I could do it myself, but didn't want to mess anything up so I took it to the dealer. $45 later, no brake light on.

To turn off the brake service light on a 2006 Toyota Solara, first, ensure that the brake fluid level is adequate and that the parking brake is fully released. Reconnect the battery and start the car to see if the light has turned off. If the light persists, it may indicate a deeper issue requiring diagnostic attention.

To turn off the brake light on a BMW X3, first ensure that the parking brake is fully released and that the brake fluid level is adequate. If the light persists, check for any issues with the brake system, such as worn brake pads or a malfunctioning brake switch. If everything appears normal, you may need to reset the warning light using the vehicle's onboard computer or diagnostic tool. If you're unsure, consult the owner's manual or visit a BMW service center for assistance.
