The nut is flattened to prevent it from working loose during driving. The left hand side has a left-hand thread so you need to rotate the nut clockwise (rotate right). It will take a bit of effort as you have to overcome the deformed portion of the nut. The right hand brake has a right-hand thread, so rotate the nut counter-clockwise (to the left) to remove. After the nut is properly fastened back on use a punch or flat screwdriver with a hammer and repinch nut.
Ur Brakes need to be changed.

You cant, That was only in RCT1. Also those wern't brakes those were boosters.

it looks like a square but has two short sides (the same size) and two long sides (also the same size)

A geometric shape with many sides looks exactly like a polygon.
I took both sides off so now i cant put them back together the rear brakes
Wheel cylinder (drum brakes) or caliber (disc brakes) sticking. If you find this to be the case you need to replace both sides and replace your brake fluid which is contaminated with moisture.
