Yes there is a separate bulb.
It's ether the switch/wiring/bulb/relay. You will need a multimeter to diagnose everything but the relay. You can swap relays from something else to see it it works.
Replace the light bulb. Tail lights are usually dual filament, 2 filaments in one bulb.
Put a flat head screwdriver behind the indicator cluster and prize it out. Then just twist out the bulb.
lift tailgate and look for two screws and remove them, and then turn the bulb housing right and oull out
Toyota Yaris wing indicator/repeater is seal unit (it can't be opened), you have to replace the whole thing.
Take out the side indicator light assembly (which is most difficult part) and then replace the bulb.

how to repair a citreon saxo indicator bulb
To change a dashboard light in a Toyota Previa, first, ensure the vehicle is turned off and disconnect the battery to avoid electrical issues. Remove the dashboard panel by unscrewing any screws and gently prying it away from the dashboard. Locate the faulty bulb in the instrument cluster, twist it counterclockwise to remove it, and replace it with a new bulb. Reassemble the dashboard panel and reconnect the battery to test the new light.
