Bit of a hassle, but I think I would take out the back seat, you could then slip something between the door and the frame and flip the child lock. Look at the other door to locate where the lock is in relation to the door. If this doesn't work, with the seat out, you should be able to remove the door panel and gain access to the lock from the inside and open it .

To fix a broken hood latch on a Toyota Corolla, first, ensure the hood is securely closed. If the latch isn't engaging, inspect the mechanism for debris or rust and clean it if necessary. If the latch is damaged, replace it by removing the old latch assembly, usually secured by bolts, and install the new one in the same position. Finally, test the latch operation before closing the hood to ensure it functions properly.

Your head gasket could have let go. If that isn't it then a valve or piston has broken.
