How do you open a stuck trunk lid on a 2004 Honda Accord?

First try having someone push down on the truck lid while you pull up on the trunk release. This is assuming the trunk release cable is not broken or frozen. Assuming the cable is inoperable there is another way. Pull the center rear armrest down. You will see a black passthrough into the trunk. Use your key to unlock that passthrough and pull it down and open. No use a flashlight and you will see an emergency release just above the truck latch that says OPEN. If you can reach it with your hand just push it to the left and up. If you cannot reach it use something long enough to reach in and trip that release.
