To open the bonnet of a 1997 Nissan Pulsar, first locate the bonnet release lever inside the vehicle, typically found on the driver's side beneath the dashboard. Pull the lever to release the latch. Then, move to the front of the car, slide your hand under the centre of the bonnet, and find the safety catch. Lift the bonnet while disengaging the catch to fully open it.
Open bonnet, use a 10mm spanner, undo Negative terminal, then undo Positive terminal, loosen and remove battery bracket. Reverse procedure to install new battery.
