If the back of the rear seat can be removed, it may be possible to enter the trunk and open it. If not, then the lock will either have to be picked or drilled out.
if your talking about the gas-tank fill door-the release lever is located just above the trunk release lever (on most models with interior fill-door release). it is marked with a "gas pump with hose".
I assume it is leaking or you would not be removing it. You can remove it by driving a screwdriver into the middle and prying sideways. hit it on one side so that it flips sideways but hopefully not right into the cooling jacket, then grip the exposed edge and lever it out with pliers.
Go to NAPA Auto Parts and ask them to order a new switch. They can be sure to help you find the correct part. Their website says they run around $44 for a new one. Or check your local import parts salvage yard for a Galant of your vintage and pull it there. (be sure it works or you may end up with TWO broken windshield wiper levers haha)
There is either a nut under a cap on the arm that is holding it on, or a lock lever that you need to pull or push on under the arm, or it is just stuck, and you might need to spray it with something to loosen it from being rusted.
The mechanical advantage of a lever can be increased by either increasing the length of the lever or by changing the position of the fulcrum closer to the load.
Its called a fulcrum. Thank you.
I think this switch which is adjustable is located above the brake pedal on a braket with a locknut. May be the bump rubber on the pedal lever is broken.
ok so this is what i think i dont think a saw is a lever because dont levers need to have a fulcrum in order to be considered a lever. But on the other hand i read that a knife is a lever and it doesnt even look anything like a lever so my answer might be wrong.
The fixed balance point on a lever is called the fulcrum. It is the point at which the lever pivots or rotates when a force is applied to either side of the lever. The position of the fulcrum determines how the lever amplifies or redirects the force applied to it.
The point that a lever turns around is called the fulcrum. It is the pivot point around which the lever rotates to either lift or move an object.
The lever in a tap is the handle that is used to control the flow of water. When the lever is moved, it either opens or closes the internal valve mechanism to allow water to flow or stop.
The fulcrum is the fixed part of a lever. (the pivot point)
