How do you prevent a dry start of a 1993 Toyota Camry v6 engine that has not been started for one year?

What I would do is to remove the spark plugs so there is no compression (no load on bearings) and crank over the motor for 20 seconds then rest the starter for a few minutes and crank it over again; repeat once more. I assume you have put fresh oil in motor.
