Don't. An Rx-7 is a perfectly balanced car with its lightweight, smooth accelerating rotary engine. If you take good care of it, it will take good care of you. If you want to put in a different engine in it, a corvette engine is the only way to go.
Depending on which Altima and which SR20DET you're referring to. S13 SR20DET=205 hp S14 SR20DET=220 hp S15 SR20DET=247 hp
beam for sr20det?
PUT EMERGENCY BRAKE ON
Yes, but you need a lot of patience for that... I also have a b12, its undergoing restoration right now. Will drop in a SR20DET on it. lots of mods, work, and time is needed. And oh, i forgot about deep pockets.
yes it will fit
sr20det you nog
Well yes and no. You can put them on your rx7, but the spring rate and stiffness may be too much or too little for your rx7 and it will need to fit the specific shocks/struts of your rx7.. The springs may have to be cut also depending on the clearance needed, give it a shot, and install it and see how it clears. if it clears, test drivie it in a safe area.
mazda doesnt rx7 anymore :(
The easiest conversion will be the jdm sr20det swap or the ca18det. If you want a little bit more power there's always the Rb series motors for the skylines or the 2jzgte on supras and if you want to go all out the ls motor from Chevy Corvette is the best conversion, depending on the time and money you want to put down.
RX7 means - Rotary Experiment 7
It is 5.8 Liters for an FC Rx7.
