If it's anything like my 2000 gt (and it is) you just take out the air intake like you were going to replace the air filter and unclip it from the base of the inlet-I think the clip is red in color. Its very easy to reach.

There is NO Mass Air Flow sensor. There is an Intake Air Temperature Sensor located in the air box inlet
there is no MAP sensor on a Kia Rio from 2001 to 2005 they have Mass Air Flow Meters, and to change that you will have to remove the air box sitting next to the firewall as it it bolted to that box

Must remove the throttle air intake hose from throttle body. Then disconnect the wiring and remove the sensor and spray with mass air flow sensor cleaner.
