Disconnect the battery first.
Then there are 2 bolts holding the starter to the transmission case. Take those off. Then slide the motor out so you can get to the connections on it. Remove these and carefully remove the starter. Reverse the order to reinstall.
Some things that help. Remove the wheel and place the car on a stand so you have good access. Then there is a panel to keep debris out of the engine and give you access to the starter. Remove this also.
