To replace the starter solenoid on a 2000 Toyota Avalon, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Then, remove the starter motor from the vehicle by unbolting it from its mounting and disconnecting the wiring, including the solenoid wire. Replace the old solenoid with the new one, reattach the wiring, and securely mount the starter back into place. Finally, reconnect the battery terminal and test the starter to ensure proper function.
