How do you replace the blower motor resistor card on a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer?
The blower motor resistor card is located under the glove box. You have to take the bottom panel from underneath the glove box out(be careful not to break the wire clip that holds the wires in place on that panel). Once you take the panel loose look in the back. You will see the blower motor. Behind the blower motor is the card. You will need a 9/32 for the panel and a 7/32 for the card. It is only 4 screws total to remove and 2 wire harness clips. It is about a 15 minute job.!!

the blower motor is located under the glove box ,there is an access panel u need to remove under the dash, i believe its held in by (3 ) 1/4 in head screws, once you drop that panel ,you will see the blower motor up toward the fire wall ,disconnect the double wire plug from the motor ,unbolt the 3 retaining screws (believe they are 9/32 heads) and the motor will come right out ,installation is the reverse, only bout a 10 min job to replace, hope that helps

You need a blower motor resistor. It is also under dash on pass side. Remove lower panel. Resistor is right up against the fire wall. Unplug it and remove 2 (5.5mm or 7/32) screws. They are kind of a pain to reach but I've done it many times.

I got the part at Pep Boys for 1/2 Chevy/GMC dealer price. Here's how you put it in: 1. Remove plastic shroud covering blower motor in front passenger footwell - three 9/32" bolts. One of the bolts is tricky and is closest to the center of the vehicle (the driveshaft hump makes it tough to get the socket in - have patience, you'll get it). 2. Remove two bolts holding resistor in place - 7/32" bolts. 3. You need to remove the blower motor cover/shroud to access the 2nd wiring clip - 7/32" bolts. I had trouble accessing the front (front of vehicle) screw on the cover, but I was able to move the shroud out of the way enough to access the clip by only removing the rear screw. 4. Connect electric components 5. Replace covers/shrouds Happy wrenching!

i Anybody who tells you to remove the four screws to get to the blower motor on the SIERRA is FOS! First remove the cover under the glovebox- No you don't have to remove the glove box. If you can remove the 2 easy ones using 9/32 and a stubby, the third one you can loosen and just let the cover drop. Now disconnect the resistor from the motor. Its a clip so do this in the daytime. Locate the blower motor. Its under the glovebox. Look for the tab on the top of it, by sticking your head in there. rotate the blower motor clockwise and it will drop right out. Don't lose the screws, the hardest part is putting it back together.

Passenger side up under the glove box. First disconnect the battery. Control module is located behind the blower motor. You may have to remove the blower to get to the module. Unplug the motor before doing so. The wires that you unplug from the blower will go straight to the control module. You will have to contort yourself to get up under there to get to it but be patient and you will get it. There are 3 7/32 screws holding it in place. The back one being the toughest to get to because there is a firewall/guard in place but it can be pushed backwards to get to the last screw. Hope this helps you out. Much of the Dash heating/AC system in our 1992 32-foot Winnebago Chieftain was supplied by SCS/Frigette of Forth Worth , Texas. (www.scsfigette.com) The blower motor resistor is accessed by opening the hood of the motorhome. The four-wire blower motor resistor connector is located on the front of the SCS evaporator assembly directly behind the passenger side headlights. The resistor is accessed by unscrewing the two phillips-head screws on either side of the blower motor connector and prying the resistor assembly out of the evaporator assembly with a regular screw driver.

The Blower Motor Resistor Pack is defective. Replace it. Replace the resistor module for fan motor speeds. It's located under the dash on the passenger side behind the blower. Need to be a contortionist to change it (have to lay on back in floorboard with legs hanging out of the car....lots of fun *grin*) All it takes it a very small 7/32 socket (for back one recommend swivel socket). There are only 4 screws (3 on blower and 1 on resistor) that you need to remove. Part was less than $20 at local AZ. There are wires at a connector on the blower....trust me its easier to just snip them than to try to undo the connector. The new resistor comes with one anyway.

Be ready with the ibuprofen the next day for your sore back. Remove the cover panel from beneath the dash on the passenger side.Unplug the power 'ribbon' wires leading to the resitor.Unplug the wires that lead from the resitor to the blower motor housing. There are usually two, one black and one purple that share the same plug.Remove the short hose that leads from the blower motor housing to the ventilation system ducts.Remove the blower motor by removing the three hex screws that hold it in place.Remove the resistor by removing the three hex screws that hold it in place. The resistor is right against the firewall so two of the screws are very difficult to reach. A slender flexible socket extension will make the job easier.Attach the new resistor in place using the same hex screws. The cover for the panel has all of the fuses mapped out, so it was easy to spot the 25 amp "Blower High Speed" fuse. I was very impressed to find the panel contained a fuse puller and replacement fuses. Replacing the blower motor resistor on a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire is a bugger of a job!.This project is far easier if you remove the blower fan first. You may be able to do it leaving the fan in, but you have to be an elf with very good eyesight. Tools required: 1/4" driver with a universal and a short 5.5 mm or 7/32" socket. First remove the wiring harness and the visible screw. Here's the tricky part! The rear screw is out of sight, and you have to push the floor liner down to get the socket attached. Once you get the 2nd screw out, simply remove and replace with the new one, reinstall the fan motor and your back in business. Hint: If you are not agile, or you are a large person, remove the front passenger seat. It's only 4 nuts and it will save your back. Martin Drost- Taber, Alta Canada.

I also had a hard time finding the blower motor on my 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 4 door. In my case it was located under the dash clear to the right side on the passenger side (if you are sitting in the passenger seat it would be directly above your right foot). To be super carefull you should disconnect the battery first. Next remove the plastic cover under the entire dash (see photos provided below) I think it is a 9/32 to remove the cover. You can now see the blower motor, there are three 7-32nd hex head screws holding the blower motor in place, also unplug the power harness to the blower motor. It was easy to remove and re-install. In my case it was a loose wire, you might want to check that first. Be carefull, if you remove the blower motor and leave it plugged into the power it might start spinning in your hand if it is a loose wire problem. I spent so much time researching on the net the location of this 1995 Cadillac blower motor that I thought I could help someone else in the future if I took pictures of the whole procedure.
