the owners manul should say what to do. I would replace the alternator if you can't find anything
its very simple. You need to find the alternator and then take off the screws. Make sure that you have a replacement first and that the spark wires are in the right order. Then replace the alternator by taking out the old one and putitng in the new one. Lastly just tighten the screws and your good to go. If the car hasn't been run for a while take out the spark plugs and spray some starting fluid in the cylinders , or spray some wd40 in the alternator when you replace it.
You can also go to a mechanic and they'll know what to do.

To replace the alternator on a 1999 Lexus RX300, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner, then detach the electrical connections from the alternator. Unbolt the alternator from its mounting bracket and carefully remove it from the engine bay. Install the new alternator by reversing the steps, ensuring all connections are secure and the serpentine belt is properly reinstalled.
