1. Start by lowering the glass to the very bottom.
2. Raise the front edge of the glass so that is sits 225mm (8.86 inches) above the fully lowered door sill position.
3. Disconnect the negative battery.
4. Remove the door panel - pop fasteners on the edge of the door, screws around door pull, etc. I forget, but there may also be a screw underneath the tiny pocket of carpet in the door pull.
5. Look closely at the bottom of the glass. You will notice some peglike additions on the glass. As the window travels up, follow it's path and you will see where they hit window stoppers to prevent shooting up past the door guides.
6. Remove these glass stoppers.

Replacing the windshield, the glass stoppers should be bolted down to 79-112 in-lbs.

It is also advisable to relube the glass sliders as they often become dried and slow.
