It really isn't that bad.
Use a Phillips head screwdriver. For the drivers side, make it easy on yourself and take out the battery. Just undo the clamps and make sure you don't put something metal between the + and -. Then pop off the plastic shroud cover right behind the light; there are two plastic rivets that you pull back on and they pop out. You'll see that the center post moves in and out of the clamp part.
Then unscrew at least two of the 3 Philips screws of the light holder, twist, and remove the bulb holder. Press the tab, pull out the bulb, and put your new one back in. Reverse the steps and voila! Highly recommend a short screw driver, an angled screw driver, or an elbow ratcheting screw driver
When you put the plastic shroud cover back, make sure the 'post' is not inserted into the clamps. If it is, the rivet will be bigger than the hole and you'll have problems.
Same thing for the passenger side but much easier and nothing to remove.
3.22.08 Addendum. You are going to need a VERY short screwdriver for the driver side headlight. The design is tight on the 03+ models so the space is extremely limited. I ended up using a needle nose vice grip to get to the screw from the side. Good Luck
3.11.09 Addendum. I foolishly tried with a VERY short screwdriver. That is not good advice. There is NO screwdriver short enough to get to that screw at least on the drivers side. A side offset ratchet screwdriver is the good choice.
7.09.09 Addendum. Just replaced my low beam bulbs. The above information is good except for loosening/removing the 3 philipps screws. This is not needed at all.
Just unplug the electrical connection and then turn the bulb, it will come right out. Installation is just the reverse. No philipps screwdriver needed.
