You dissaemble unit that houses the core and blower fan. Be prepared with plenty of rags and muscle ointment, rags for driping coolen, ointment for a sore back from reaching back to the firewall and crawling on the floor to remove the core. It would be a good idea to get a manual with pictures and diagrams to help do this.
