have u taken the steering wheel off, if u did, their are 2 one inch springs that will fall out of their holes, these springs make contact on metal when u push horn,if u lost them u can use the springs off a writing pen, i did, i replace horns and horn relay until i figured that those 2springs that fell out went to the horn
Check the Horn wiring and if this is good then replace the horn.
remove the bolt of the two horn (12mm bolt). also remove the two electrical connection of the two horns and replace it with the new pairs. emmanuelsumabatjr@yahoo.com.ph
To replace the horn on a 2003 Nissan Xterra, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Locate the horn, which is typically mounted in the front grille area; you may need to remove the grille or other components for access. Disconnect the wiring harness from the old horn, unbolt it, and then install the new horn by reversing the process. Reconnect the battery and test the new horn to ensure it’s functioning properly.
You should in the UK, as your car will fail the MOT test if your horn does not work.
3 possibilities, either it got disconnected inside the steering, the horn itself gave out, or one of the fuses is blown... if the steering wheel is not oem then it might have been removed altogether!
To fix the horn on a 1988 Toyota pickup, first, check the fuse related to the horn in the fuse box and replace it if it's blown. Next, inspect the horn itself, which is usually located in front of the radiator, and test it by connecting it directly to a power source. If the horn doesn't sound, it may need to be replaced. Lastly, check the wiring and the horn switch on the steering wheel for any faults or disconnections.
