Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove upper radiator hose. Use a 3/8 drive wrench in the square socket of the tensioner to remove serpentine belt.

Remove two 8mm bolts from fan housing. Lift and adjust as needed to get to next bolts. Remove four 10 mm bolts from fan . Remove four 10mm bolts holding fan clutch. Remove fan housing. Remove Phillips screw holding timing cover in place. Two 10mm bolts need to be removed for the thermostat housing. Clean all mating surfaces and be careful not to scratch or pit. Brake and parts cleaner works well for cleaning off oils. Once dry, apply blue, red, or copper permatex to both sides of the gasket if you are using one, and stick gasket to thermostat housing. Put everything back together in the reverse and let it sit overnight. Starts drying in one hour. 24 hours fully cured. IMPORTANT not to start vehicle or put any antifreeze or water back in till the full 24 hours as a precaution. Leaks can occur and no one wants that.

Where is thermostat on a 94 Mazda b2300?

In a 1994 Mazda B2300, the thermostat is located in the engine block, specifically at the end of the upper radiator hose where it connects to the engine. To access it, you'll need to remove the upper radiator hose and the thermostat housing, which is secured by bolts. Once removed, you can replace the thermostat as needed. Be sure to allow the engine to cool before starting this process to avoid burns.
