I have an '04 CR-V, and the process is explained on pg. 59 of my owner's manual under the Instrument Panel section. The 2006 owner's manual may have different page sections, but look for the Instrument Panel section under the Maintenance Required Indicator & it you should find instructions for your model.
For my 2004 model, it's done as follows:
1) Turn off the ignition
2) Push in the select/reset button (the little bar-type button to the bottom right of the speedometer in my 2004 model - I assume it's the same basic area on the 2006 model.)
3) Hold in the select/reset button as you start the vehicle, and continue to hold the button about 10 seconds or so until the light shuts off.
I do this all the time on my CR-V. Hopefully the process remained the same for the newer models & this will help you too, but if your model is different, just check your owner's manual & you'll find the instructions in there somewhere :)
Good luck!

The on-board computer is factory installed and cannot be 'reset' - it must be replaced.

The wrench symbol on a 2012 Honda CR-V indicates that the vehicle is due for scheduled maintenance. This warning light typically appears after a certain number of miles or time since the last service. It serves as a reminder to check and perform necessary maintenance tasks, such as oil changes or inspections, to ensure the vehicle runs smoothly. If the light remains on after servicing, it may need to be reset.
You have to find a mechanic or someone at O"riellys or autozone who will reset the light. You have to have an OBDII (electronic computer) to reset the code light
