To reset the Oil Change Maintenance Indicator Light in the gauge assembly, remove the ignition key from the ignition switch. Then press and hold the trip/reset button in the gauge assembly. While continuing to hold the trip/reset button in, put the key back into the ignition switch and turn the ignition switch to the run position. Continue to hold the trip/reset button until the Oil Change Maintenance Indicator Light turns off and resets. This procedure should take less than 1 minute to reset the light, but in some cases we have found this procedure to take up to 3 minutes.

Which alarm? If you are talking about the Maint. alarm that is done by holding down the milage reset button on the dash and then putting the key in the ignition and turning it until the warning lights come on, then wait until the Maint light goes out about 15 seconds, then turn off the ignition and then release the the milage reset button.
More information is needed on this...is it a stock Honda alarm? What year (or generation) Prelude is it for?
If you have changed the stereo the alarm settings will reset. The dealership reset those for Anti Theft protection.
