To set the timing marks on a 2002 Daewoo Lanos, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. Align the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley with the corresponding mark on the timing cover. Next, check that the camshaft timing mark aligns with the mark on the cylinder head. Finally, make sure the timing belt is properly tensioned before reassembling any components.
To replace the timing belt on a 2002 Daewoo Lanos 1.5, first disconnect the battery and remove the engine covers. Then, drain the coolant and remove the serpentine belt, crankshaft pulley, and timing belt cover. Align the timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft, then remove the old timing belt and replace it with the new one, ensuring proper tension. Finally, reassemble all components, refill the coolant, and reconnect the battery.

The Daewoo had NO transponder on any of their vehicles from 1999-2002. Incorrect. The Daewoo Leganza had a transponder option in 2001+, as did the Lanos. The Nubria had a transponder option in 2000+.
