How do you turn off interior lights in Toyota Land Cruiser?

Interior Dash:There is a dim knob next to the choke, just crank it down.

Main: There is a switch for on/door/off. You can switch this to off.

This is where your question might lie, because over the course of several cruisers I have learned a trick that comes as second nature: Sometimes on Door, the lights still won't go out with the doors closed. Toggle the switch all the way back and forth a couple of times and check your doors. Speaking of doors, sometimes if you close the back hatch with it already locked and shove it closed, It won't quite get that light off.

The very back light has a switch that turns on or off, and is not controlled by the door. The "straight down" position is off.
