I know for a fact it will go a little past 160mph. At 160 the speedo is pinned.

My 2007 touring with mild mods does 164 mph according to the digital speedo, but i ran out of room on the highway and still had about 700 to 800 rpm left.

It all depends on age, and modifications. Nissan face-lifted the 350Z in late 2007 to give an extra 10bhp, which brought it's 0-62mph down from 5.7 to 5.6 seconds. They kept the top speed electronically limited to 155mph. The engine is capable of so much more though, a performance chip, remap and having said limiter removed will result in 185mph top speed. However, the tires are not rated that highly, so caution and updated rubber as well as parts (brakes, clutch, suspension) are advised but not required..
