this is an issue among people in general. some will argue that while in older cars the gas was consumed by using the a/c that it is no longer the case. i agree with this. i see no noticable differance in gas burning with or without a/c-heater on. however some refuse to use the a/c feeling it saves them gas well i think these people are extremely uncomfortable while driving
The Honda CRV is a fantastic vehicle if a person is looking for a reasonably priced vehicle with good gas mileage and a sleek interior and exterior. It is a great car.
My engine light was on and I had a gas smell in my 2000 CRV when the pipe from the gas cap to the gas tank rotted out. It was replaced for ~$500 by Aamco.

A Honda Ridgeline typically consumes about 0.2 to 0.5 gallons of fuel per hour while idling, depending on various factors such as engine condition and accessories in use. This can vary slightly based on the model year and specific engine configuration. Idling for extended periods can lead to unnecessary fuel consumption, so it's generally advisable to turn off the engine when parked for long durations.
The two greatest possibilities: (1) Clogged fuel filter (2) Faulty fuel pump
On left-hand drive models - it is on the floor to the left, and just in front of, the track on which the drivers seat slides.
It could take an estimated 1/2 gallon to 1 gallon idling for a hour.
The 1999 Honda CR-V has a fuel tank capacity of approximately 15.3 gallons (58 liters). This tank size allows for a reasonable driving range, depending on the vehicle's fuel efficiency. Always refer to the owner’s manual for the most accurate specifications.
I would recommend the Honda CRV but the Mazda CX5 is also an excellent vehicle. The fuel mileage for both vehicles is about the same in the real world. Drive them both and see which one you like. After all it is your money and what you like is what really counts. You will not go wrong with either vehicle.
According to the manual, 87 octane, regular unleaded is adequate. I have a '98 CRV with nearly 200k and that's all I use.
30 seconds of idling equals one average start, on a normally-functioning start.
It depends on gas prices and how much gas you have in your tank.
