About $800 if u get a good mechanic
u need to replace the flasher unit in the vehicle
I am having my starter replaced today on a 1999 Nissan Maxima for a total of $610 including parts and labor.
It will fit if the 2000 engine is a 3.0 L VQ30DE-K. They are almost identical engines
I would like to know if you have to lift the engine up in order to change the sprokets on 2006 Nissan Maxima?
I would recommend taking this repair to a qualified mechanic.
how to remove and install water pump on 1996 Nissan maximaI just had mine done, the part is about $110 from Nissan, aftermarket is about $90. the labour alone is what drives the price. Nissan told me it would take 7 hours to do @ $100 per hour. I went to an independent mechanic and he said it would take about 6 hours. But he didnt charge me 100 per hour. its an internal water pump under the timing chain. ***If the car has over 100,000 miles, ask what is the additional cost to re-tension the timing chain (the timing chain stretches over time).
ca20? remove all the belts, water pump pulley, underdrive pulley, timing chain cover and timing belt and the water pump is accessible. I would replace the timing belt too.
You should use the Nissan undiluted antifreeze for your Maxima. This would require two gallons of antifreeze to fill the reserve.?æ
The water pump is driven off the timing chain. I would recommend purchasing a repair manual for that vehicle if you are going to DIY.
what would cause a nissan maxima to run slow or almost stop when it rains or snows and the distiributor is dry?
The maxima is a 3.0L while the altima is only a 2.4L. While the maxima only has 5-10 more horsepower, its extra cubic inches goes more twords torque. I would say maxima hands down. I personally have a 92 maxima, and it is not at all slow.
Yes, it should since it is the same motor, chassis. Only thing that might cause a problem would be the transmission programming.
