Only when it fails.
On the V6 it MUST be replaced every 110,000 miles. The 4 cylinder has a chain which requires no. maintenance.
Fuel injectors need to be replaced every so often. If the fuel injectors are not working, they may be too old, and need to be replaced or put in properly.
Honda recommends every 100,000 miles.
Honda does not list changing P/S fluid as a regular schedule maintenance item at any time. I would change it at 100,000 miles and use only Honda P/S fluid.
Honda recommends @ 45k miles and then every 30k miles after that.
15000 miles
97 accord engine accerelating by itself.I had a 1995 Honda accord, which, when stopped at traffic lights, would suddenly rev up to 4500rpm and then go down again,to 1000 rpm, doing this repeatedly. It turned out to be the fast-idle valve was faulty, and when replaced, sorted the problem.....hope this may help you.
Change it every 100,000 miles on the 4 cylinder and change it at 105,000 miles on the V6 at the same time you have the cam belt and water pump replaced.
I recommend every 75,000 miles.
Not too often, they are pretty good on gas!
Honda recommends changing it at 100,000 miles. I personally recommend you change it every 75,000 miles. The 2003 Honda Accord had problems with the transmission so I would recommend this as a preventative measure.
Freon does not generally need to be replaced. However over time, systems sometimes have a small leak and need to have coolant added. A Freon gauge can confirm if you need to have Freon added.
