Take the car (not just the trunk lid) to a body shop. They be able to do a cold weld on the metal that has been torn away due to the pressure from the hinges. Then they will attach a new piece of metal for rigidity and then reattach the trunk lid with the hinge. The approximate cost is 100.00.
I have a 92 Celica, it uses R12.
Yes
The fuel pump on a 92 Toyota Celica GT is located inside the fuel tank. It pulls fuel from inside the tank and pumps it along the frame to the engine.
Fuel Requirement unleaded premium, 92 octane
The ecu on a 92 Celica is located behind the stereo bolted to the floor under the airbag controler
In the fuel tank
you have to jack up the back of the car and lower the fuel tank it is inside the fuel tank can be done by average person but it is a pain
I think this model was only manual trany with no automatic option. They did this in order to keep the car more sportier and not increase the price by $800 for the A/T. This might have been the only model year for the Celica that this happened in.
Yes. Geo is a branch of Chevy but they also have alot of the Toyota parts on them. The Toyota corolla and the Toyota celica st have the same motor as the geo. More than likely it is the 4AFE 1.6L 1587cc only about 115 horsepower.
I have looked all over my 92 Toyota many times for a trunk release, but to no avail. Only one of the pair of keys that the car has will open the trunk, so if you have both, try the other one. My guess is that if you cannot use a key to open the trunk, you may be able to get in through the back seat. My "92" Corolla does have one key that works on the trunk but the mechanism jamed up on me so the key no longer works. It might if you can free it up. Fortunatley my LE came with a trunk release next to the gas release so it might depend on the model and make. You could maybe install one for cheap! Good luck.
There is a good chance that it takes a standard size socket rather than a metric socket, it was like this on my Toyota Celica. 17mm
yes if it will fit in the trunk i think that the trunk is bigger in the 92 so it should be ok
