In the centre of the door panel is a 400mm grey plastic moulding. In the top of this is the bit of the door panel you actually stick your hand in to pull the door shut. Pry this piece out with a flat-blade screwdriver, butterknife, etc.
Behind that there are 2 screws. Remove these.
Go round the whole of the interior panel and pull the plastic studs out.

The front one of these is easily removed. * The rear one is trickier, and must be accessed from the front side with a spanner (or wrench or pliers). To see what you are doing as you get tools onto this nut, there is a small access hole on the interior door panel covered by a plastic stick-on cover. Peel this cover off. * Pull the exterior door handle out. * Disconnect the rod on the exterior door handle. If you need to remove the lock:
* Inside the door panel is a gold-colored retaining clip. Pull this forward to remove it. * Disconnect the rod from the lock. * Take the lock out from the outside of the door.
