The answer is, don't. It is a reporting sensor that is reporting spark knock condition - NOT a bad sensor. This is most often caused by low quality fuel - like the reformulated junk they are selling here in St Louis. Depending on where you live, you may need to use premium only, and our cusomers have more trouble with Shell and Sam's fuel than any other. Try prem Moblie/BP/Phillips/QT.
To change the knock sensor on a 2006 Nissan Murano, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Next, remove the intake manifold to access the sensor, which is located on the engine block. Unplug the electrical connector from the old sensor, unscrew it, and then replace it with the new sensor, reconnecting the electrical connector. Finally, reassemble the intake manifold and reconnect the battery terminal to complete the installation.

Knock sensorThe knock sensor for a 1996 Nissan Altima is located on the backside of the block above the oil filter. But before you go and change it out, run a tank of the best/hightest rated gas you can find and see if that fixes the problem.
