look for the leak and you will find the problem, it could be a hose, thermostat, heater core, radiator, water pump(most likely), head gasket. check them in that order

If it is leaking water, it is bad.
Is the temperature relief valve leaking in your system?
Is the temperature and pressure valve leaking in your water heater?

I'm no expert but possibly the cylinderhead is leaking or cracked dropping water into the engine crankcase via the pistons.
