If you have a 2000 V4 Toyota Camry what is the difference if you use a V4 oil filter or a V6 oil filter?
The volume of oil running through the filter while the engine is running. The threads might be the same on the filters but the diameter will most likely not be. This will not create a proper seal if the inapropriate filter is used causing oil leakage and engine ceasing. Please do not try to use a different oil filter than what is recommended by the oil filter manufacturer for the specific vehicle.
