Deedee16 had no clue what they were talking about...someone else please answer this question
It should already be in "4x4" mode if it is AWD
No. Some are FWD and others are AWD (4x4).
It is not necessary to have 4X4 tires if you are driving an AWD vehicle. You might be interested in having a good snow tire on your vehicle though depending on what climate you live in.
Hi, The engine and transmission assembly must be removed from the vehicle to replace the clutch on a RAV4 AWD. It's a 10+ hour job. Good luck.
i know what 4x4 means if thats what you mean. 4x4 means 4 wheel drive or AWD(all wheel drive).
All 4x4's Ford Expeditions are not AWD... I have a 1998 Ford Expedition XLT and it has (2H/AWD/4L/4H). But, my brother has a 2000 Ford Expediton EB (AWD/4L/4H).
Yes, although how deeply off road and the trail difficulty does depend upon the vehicle's ground clearance, AWD gearing, and driver ability. Any vehicle is capable of doing light gravel roads, but don't expect a CR-V or RAV4 to tackle the Rubicon Trail.
It's a chain
No. A Cadillac CTS is a RWD or AWD vehicle. CTS4 Denotes an AWD vehicle.
AWD= All wheels pull all the time, but in a 4x4= its a rear wheel drive until the driver choses to ingage the front axel.
At the side of the transmission on AWD.
Look under truck at drivers side front between door and tire. If ya see the the front axle driveshaft andya have NO auto/4x4 hi/4x4 lo select switch above cigarette lighter then its AWD. i have a 2000 mercury mountaineer awd. Also the 5 liter v8 was awd.
