there is no dip stick for a manual transmission .there is a bolt on the side of the trans you have to pull then stick your finger in ..if you can touch it its ok
A squeaky stick shift on a Mazda Protege likely needs greasing. It is recommended that you use a silicon grease for this.

I assume it is a stick-shift? The transmission will have a plug located on the side, where you can add fluid, if needed.

On the 1995 Mazda 626 v6 engine you will find the proper oil listed on the transmission dip stick. Do not overfill
Is this a trick? I have a 1994 Mazda B3000 and there dip stick along the fire way, more to the left. Open the hood and find the stick that says "Transmission fluid". Remove the stick, after the engine is hot, and transmission in "Park" and wipe it clean. Read the directions on the stick. Yeah!
