Need to weld oil pan on 98 s10four wheel drive what is the best way to lowerdrop front end to get to oil pan?

Its not a great idea to weld the oil pan on in case you hit a big speed bump one day and rip a hole in it.. and you definitly dont want to cut it off to weld a new one on.. you'd ruin the motor
