the hold light on on my mazda truck b 2600 stays on or flashing and it shut the engine off
The manual claims a capacity of 18 US gallons. The capacity of the tanks is 18 US gallons.
It can mean several things if the hold light flashes on your Mazda Familia 1997 model. It can indicate a shortage in the wiring or a blown fuse.

Speed sensor....on transmission need changing....
To set the distributor timing on a Mazda Millenia, first, ensure the engine is at TDC (Top Dead Center) for the number one cylinder by aligning the timing marks on the crankshaft pulley and the timing cover. Next, connect a timing light to the number one cylinder spark plug wire and start the engine. Adjust the distributor by loosening its hold-down bolt and rotating it until the timing light indicates the correct timing mark on the timing scale. change the input turbin speed sensor on the drivers side, just below the battery and motor mount. comes out easily. just jack the car up on drivers side , losten nuts on motor mounts and raise car up enought for the sensor to pull out.
there is a button on either your gear shifter or your turn signal that says hold. press and release and the light will go off. According to the 1991 Mazda MPV manual, the flashing indicates that there is an electrical problem with the transmission.
When I press my highlight the low light comes on but does not stay on and I have to hold the switch to keep it on.
