There is a switch on the latch itself that turns the light on. Mine didn't work when I bought my '00. I replaced it with a used latch and it worked great for a little while but now it's back to working sometimes.
Yes, it is the handle on the outside of the hatch.
The light switch is located above the hatch door ceiling.
It does not hatch, it is just for decoration.
First thing to check would be the contact switch that the hatch touches when it is in the closed position. It may either be broken or corroded and not sending the proper signal to the warning light.
there may be something stuck in the hatch
There isn't a floor anchor - it is on the roof of the hatch. Hope that helps.
by waiting for it to hatch, at least that's what i do, if the chick doesnt hatch and the mommy left it then your a chicken killer!!!
To change the brake light switch on a Peugeot 306 hatch, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Locate the brake light switch, which is usually mounted near the brake pedal, and disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the old switch by unscrewing or unclipping it, then install the new switch in the same position and reconnect the electrical connector. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the brake lights to ensure proper functionality.
A mercury switch is used for connecting current to a under-hood/hatch light.
You can open the back hatch on a ford explorer by either accessing a switch located in the front console of the car or by finding a switch located between two of the backseat cusions.
its covered by the plastic panel that holds the hatch switch and the hood release
You will probably find it is a mercury switch in the wiring bundle.
