its a good idea yes..
You don't. Timing is adjusted totally automatically by your ECU.
need diagram for replacing timing belt
To reset the timing on a 1994 Subaru Legacy after changing the water pump, first, ensure that the engine is at TDC (top dead center) on the compression stroke for the number one cylinder. Remove the timing belt covers and verify the alignment of the timing marks on the camshaft and crankshaft pulleys with the corresponding marks on the engine. If necessary, adjust the timing belt to align these marks, and then reassemble the covers. Finally, check the tension on the timing belt before starting the engine.
The starter is interchangable between all 1990-1994 Legacies and maybe even up to 1999.
For a 1994 Subaru Legacy Twin-Turbo RS with a manual transmission: Horsepower -206kw/276hp 0-60mph - 6.5sec Top speed - 155mph

Rotors or drums warped. Have them turned.
I have an '01 MY02 (Gen III) Liberty (Legacy) that has hill holder :) My 1994 Loyale has it.
It is located on the passenger side fuel rail closest to the firewall.
Not always. The changeover year was beginning of 1994 to the BG series. It's highly possible they are quite different.
