Transmission drain plug 2007 Hyundai Sonata?

The transmission drain plug on 2006+ Sonatas is located in the bottom of the transmission case. You'll need to remove the plastic splash shield under the driver side of the car, there should be 5 10mm bolts and a plastic clip holding it on. Once removed, you can use either a 23 mm I believe or a 15/16 socket to remove the drain plug. Be VERY careful when reinstalling the plug NOT to overtighten as it screws directly into the aluminum transmission case. Check for leaks before reinstalling the plastic shield under the car...good luck!
