Igniter is sitting on top of the driver's side fender, inside the engine compartment. Follow the high capacity wire from the distributer to the ignition coil. Four screws attach the ignition coil (cylindrical part) to the igniter (metal, square-shaped item). This could vary depending on the model year. Autozone has an excellent picture of the igniter on their site to help you identify it.

Attached to the ignition coil you will find an "igniter". Per the local Toyota Dealer parts dept. there is no ignition module. The igniter takes it's place. I have been trying to locate the module on my 1980 corona as well and that was the answer they gave me. The igniter is aka an Ignition control module, the OEM (original equipment) install is manufactured my nippidenso, but can be quite pricey, ive found that a igniter from a 97 Toyota Camry will work in a paseo, bought new $250-$300 from a junk yard (free if you want to fit it in your pocket), or $35
